The Journal takes letters the way a printed journal does. Each one is read and weighed, and some are answered in print rather than by return post.
Write when a guide left a question open, when you think we got something wrong, or when a clinic told you something that does not square with what you read here. Corrections are the letters we most want.
A letter cannot get you an appointment, a view on your own face, or the name of a practitioner. We are not a clinic, we give no medical advice, and we make no referrals. If something about a recent procedure worries you, call the practitioner who performed it.
Every letter is read. A question that recurs may shape a future guide. A correction is checked against the source and, if it holds, fixed on the page with a date. We do not promise a reply to each letter.
